Miracles in Motion offers a variety of therapeutic and recreational
riding programs for individuals with or without special needs.
Become a Rider!
Like soccer, basketball, skiing, etc,… horseback
riding is a sport. It can be physically demanding for both the horse and rider, alike! Our instructors, like coaches or trainer’s
in other types of sports, work with you to determine the appropriate level of instruction based on your fitness level and
ability.
For this reason, the following policies/rules are in
place:
Age Requirement: Riders must be at least 6 years old to participate in riding lessons or
adaptive/ therapeutic programs & services.
Our
Little Bits program is available for 4-5 year olds.* See programs & services for more information.
Riders under the age of 18, must have a parent/guardian complete a liability
release form and new rider information form. *See programs and services page.
Weight Restrictions: A weight restriction of no more than 180lbs is enforced. This is due to the challenging
work our horses do-carrying several unbalanced riders weekly. If you exceed the weight restriction, we can offer un-mounted
horsemanship lessons as an alternative.
Abilities: Our programs and services are open to riders with and without special needs, regardless of ability.
For riders who are interested in adaptive/therapeutic
riding activities, medical clearance must be granted by your physician. *See Therapeutic Riding packet for forms and releases.
Riding experience & placement level is determined
by your instructor-after your first lesson/evaluation.
